Update I am done, stick a fork in me I am done, I am done, I am done, with all the reports associated with closing out a teaching year (grades, IEPs, awards, etc). Man oh man, I am done! I'm gonna soak in the river and pretend I don't know anything about youngins or teaching.
Once again I'm late putting this is up. Once again there were activities on the first of the month that you should have been informed of. I apologize.
Last month the ‘love bug' bit me. This month I was stung by the ‘broke up bug'.
Since as singles we all go through either way more or way less of this than we want to I've put together a few quotes about love and relationships that I have been given over the last couple of months. Gosh did we only date a month? Feels like more!
Update Well scratch that, we're back together again. This is better than a soap opera but a great deal more confusing. I reckon if he can hang on through the end of the school year when the kids are driving me absolutely loopy then he may be worth keeping.
I'm gonna need you to send a quote/idea/saying that you've heard about relationships/love /lust. Don't send "Love sucks", that isn't nice and I've already claimed it.
Here's a few:
"You have to find balance if you want a relationship to work. It can't be all about just one of you."
"It's good to marry a man who loves you more than you love him cause you know he'll never leave you." I'd like to add to that. "He'll never ever, ever, ever, ever, ever leave you, even when you go to the bathroom he'll be at the door or texting you." Of course fellas, that can be said of a woman too.
"Women go through so many ups and downs emotionally every day. You have to find a man who can hang on even when your roller-coastering."
"You are a Godly woman. Only you with the help of the Holy Spirit can decided which man is right for you."
Also
What blessings have you received lately, do you notice that if you aren't reminded of your blessings that you forget God is at work. You begin to either take all the credit or sing the "I'm gonna eat some worms" song.
This cool weather is a blessing for me. My air-conditioner is broke. So I say, "Yeah, a long chilly spring is a wonderful thing." There's also a patch of wild irises growing outside my door. I see them every morning when I go out. Wild irises are so difficult to grow; they just won't bloom unless you leave them alone. These are gifts of God. I could add my students to that list. They've worked so hard all year and gone through some extraordinary circumstances. Always keep them in prayer. They are a blessing to me.
Update: Every morning we pray before we start our day at school, sometimes we have a quick Bible study lesson. Most of the time the pray stuff like :Please let me pass the CRCT, please bless Ms Brenda, please don't let anybody get upset, please let me see my daddy, please make my brother get out of jail and do what he know he should do." They are precious children.
Yesterday's lesson was on taking care of each other. I told them the old story of God showing a fella hell where a group of miserable people sat around a large pot of stew starving because their spoons had longs handles and though they could reach the stew they couldn't feed themselves. Then God showed the man heaven which was identical but the people were happy because they fed each other. Then I read the story of Cain and Able from Genesis where Cain asked that age old question "Am I my brother's keeper". The answer is yes. So have you called/emailed to check on your friends/ lend an ear to their problems for a minuet/ made them feel as if someone cared????
